Calendar Girls at Mas Shabanou

This week I’ve been talking to the lovely folks at Mas Shabanou and they’ve been telling me about a great initiative they are involved with. 

Network Cote Orange is an association of working active women at the Côte d’Azur who meet every month. The association has charity goals and this year’s is to raise money for Pink Ribbon, fighting breast cancer. Three of the 40 women have or have had breast cancer and therefore they are determined to raise as much money as possible.  

Just like the film Calendar Girls with Helen Mirren, 12 of the club members were brave enough to pose nude for the artists to paint or sculpt. These artworks were then photographed and now make up the birthdays art calendar with each one being sold for €25.   

The association needs your help to sell as many as possible and thus raise as much money for this breast cancer charity.

The Mas Shabanou is hosting a vernissage event at the end of this month for the press, sponsors, models and artists to celebrate the arrival of the calendars and after this date they are available to the public.
