The next time you’re in need of a haircut don’t forget we have a salon right in the centre of Roquefort. EMD Coiff is opposite Intermarche and above Tendre Vert with huge glass windows so you can watch the world go by (well the village at least!) from a great vantage point while having your hair done.

Three local girls run the place, Emmanuelle, Matilde and Jessica, using America’s number 1 treatment Biolage Matrix – these are nice products that are sulphate, paraben and silicone free.

They do highlights, extensions, all types of colour, cuts, blow drying and children’s hair. I spoke to the boss, Manu, a petite pretty girl who loves chocolate, animals and snowboarding – not necessarily in that order! Her next holiday is to Corsica although she says she loves Martinique.

EMD Coiff gets busy so you’ll have to make an appointment and if you want an English speaker ask for Jessica as she’s from Canada.

Prices for children are a snip at €10 for the under 5’s and €14.50 for over 5’s. Students get a 20% discount and men’s haircuts are €15.

The salon is open non-stop all day Friday and Saturday – which is great news with the party season coming up, and they are even open on Sunday mornings which is extremely rare around these parts.

I have it on great authority from a good friend who has tried everyone’s brushing (blow dry) locally that they are the best and a wash & blow dry is a reasonable €19.50.
