The Mas Shabanou

For those of you who have only ever driven past and never been inside, the Mas Shabanou (in the centre of Roquefort) is the most wonderfully restored 17th century Mas.

Until April 29th they are offering a special deal: if you book directly with them you can get five nights for the price of four, so let your friends and family know and maybe they'll be one of the first to stay in the super new rooms…Call 0493 09 68 44 for details.

In the past it has seen such diversity as being a girls’ school, to providing accommodation for General de Gaulle during World War II. Today it is owned by a Dutch couple who brought the Shabanou name from their former fashion business in Utrecht.

Ingrid and Edwin (pictured with their dogs) run this charming and relaxing chambres d’hôtes where, dependent on the season, you can either relax by the fire or poolside taking in the views and the lovely garden.

The couple have been very busy recently, adding to the existing two gîtes and five guest rooms and have just finished two smart apartments - 8a & 8b. Both are totally Zen and yet state-of-the-art at the same time. One boasts a bathroom (with Jacuzzi) that has enough room to do some extra star jumps in, if the new exercise/massage area has inspired you!

As you’d expect the Mas has a large swimming pool and nice terrace area that is a great venue for parties and wedding receptions. See the gallery of photos to get a flavour of what it’s like http://www.mas.shabanou.com/photo-gallery/
