Georgina Bijoux

Originally from Peru, Georgina has been in Roquefort for the last 8 years and set up her boutique Georgina Bijoux over a year ago. She has travelled with husband Thierry and lived in Barcelona and Madrid before settling here.

She sells organic cotton dresses for girls as well as other children’s clothes, and you can find her at the Roquefort market on Wednesday mornings.

Her most popular line is silver jewellery and rings are priced around €25. Earrings are between €18-20 and both would make unusual presents.

The shop is open from Monday to Friday from 3-8pm and on Saturdays from 10-8pm and it is clearly signed posted at 422 Rte Notre Dame – which no doubt they are glad has re-opened! You can’t miss it it’s the brightly coloured shop is at one side of her house and there is off-street parking.

Georgina tells me that she is about to offer a service working in harmony with local producers so you will be able to collect local organic food from her boutique starting from the end of May, along with local organic eggs as well as seasonal fruit and veg.

You can also find bags, music, hats and ponchos in the shop and it’s like stepping in to a little bit of Peru! So the next time you are looking for something a bit colourful or different, remember this local lady.

Georgina will be at the Casa Blu in Valbonne this weekend (May 6th, 7th, & 8th) along with Sandrine Macchieraldo & Nicole Benazeth, who are both showing photos, as well as art from Rocio Celis.

Casa Blu is in Rue E Giraud in Valbonne village, and will be open from 10am to 1pm and 2.30pm to 7pm on those days.
