Getting creative?

I've been talking to my artist friend Jilly about what she is up to this summer:

For those who don't know her, she's a Scottish artist and art tutor who has lived in our area for 17 years and this summer she is offering the unusual service of an 'Arty Party.'

You can ask Jilly to come to you in your home and give you and your friends an art lesson, during the day or in the evening, round your kitchen or garden table.

This is especially appealing when you feel that going out to a local class is daunting because of the language difficulties and or because of the travel time involved and the inconvenience of having to arrange child care to do so.

Jilly charges adults €50 an hour, for Individual tuition in your own home or 'en plein air' out and about with easels, but as you can add up to 3 friends for the same price - you could all pay as little €12.50 each for 4 of you for an hour's class.

You can select the sort of art you want to produce and topics you want to learn. Eg. previous clients have wanted to produce modern abstracts with gold leaf, to decorate their homes, others want a more classical approach, learning the basics of art and design (charcoal drawing, landscape, colour mixing, tints and shades, life drawing, still life painting, watercolour, acrylics, oils...)

Jilly also teaches children's 'arty party' groups, and teenagers who are interested in going to art school or preparing for their art Bac from €30 per hour.
