Roquefort les Pins is on the D2085, 20km from Nice airport, 18km from Cannes, 5km from Valbonne, and the ski resorts of Isola 2000 and Auron are just over 100km away. It took its name in 1932 and is divided into four districts, Notre Dame, Le Plan, Le Colombier and Les Terres Blanches.

At the last count the population totalled almost 6,000, spread out over a surface area of more than two thousand hectares at an average altitude of 200m.

A large new school has been added and plans for improving the town centre are underway.

A drive through the town will show you that it's constantly evolving and according to the Town Hall a huge 25% of residents are now non-French and this number increases all the time.

Part of the national Village In Bloom scheme, Roquefort les Pins currently has two out of a potential four flowers (shown on the Village Fleuri yellow signs that you see at some of the roundabouts, see right) and is working hard to gain its third flower.
